The world can be a confusing, cruel, and irrational place — and growing up in it today looks different than it did for the generations before. Catharsis is our small contribution to a much bigger issue: a beautifully simple, seemingly non-chalant space built to get people, young and old, caring about their own and each other's mental health.
Questions are the real answers. Thinking is really just a constant asking and answering of questions, and the questions we habitually ask ourselves shape how we feel and how we live. Kids ask endless questions about everything; most of us lose that habit somewhere along the way. Catharsis is here to bring it back.
Catharsis | kəˈθɑːsɪs — the release of strong or repressed emotion. The word goes back to Aristotle, who believed that cleansing the emotions was the purpose of a good story. We borrowed it because that's exactly what we're after: releasing what's been sitting with you, one honest card at a time.
